The Grand Union Canal

These photos give you a taste of the picturesque view we got while walking along the Grand Union Canal but none of these photos do it justice! It is the longest single canal in Britiain and stretches for 137 miles (approx 220 km).

I could get a house...

... or a boat...

Or I could just get a houseboat :)

Dinner was at a French restaurant, Cafe Rouge.

(which I found out later is not unique to Pinner but a chain all over England)

The food is good and price is reasonable.

My dinner: Crispy duck confit with a plum sauce, french beans and creamy dauphinoise potatoes

Mum's dinner: Steak and french fries

Our dessert: chocolate, strawberry and vanilla creme brulee
