Cambridge

Having worked at the same school for more than a year now, some of the girls from work have become my good friends here in London. We often organise outings together, whether it'd be just for a few drinks, dinner or going somewhere. During the school holidays, we decided to go to Cambridge for the day.

It only took two hours to get by train.

Joshua, Amba's 3 year old son, came along for the trip and entertained us all by drawing pictures and showing us how to write his name :)

Many people go to Cambridge to visit the universities as well as to punt.

The girls and I decided to give it ago. We watched a people being 'punted' by professionals but we wanted to punt ourselves. After all, how hard could it be?!
We were confident... not sure Joshua was... :P

After a quick lesson in punting, the guide passed over the responsibility...
should you really trust us with that?

Bea did a great job!

A peaceful sail down the river...

... watch out for the trees Bea! Look at Joshua's face! haha...

Let me show you how it's done...

My turn...

Laughing because I couldn't get the hang of it at first...

Under the bridge was a breeze... until there were oncoming boats. I also had to park the boat back to it's parking space which was challenging but I managed! :)

After that, we all deserved some sweets from the Olde Sweet Shop :) Zoe has a big sweet tooth!
King's College.

We didn't have time to go in any of the colleges or buildings... will definitely be going back to Cambridge.
